Trains frequently pass through town on tracks that divide the main thoroughfare into North and South Main Street. In the historical downtown area you’ll find a variety of shops featuring antiques, arts, crafts, gifts, collectibles, and an ice cream parlor along with a lot of friendly folks. It’s not all shopping downtown. You can dine at one of Waxhaw’s fine restaurants, sip a cup of coffee at a coffee house, or relax in the town park.
